Most errors in website development are made even before the first line of code is written - at the design stage. Poor navigation, an inconvenient application form, an illogical catalog structure - all this is discovered during testing and requires expensive rework. Prototyping allows you to identify and fix these problems in hours rather than weeks.
What is included in prototyping
Analysis of target audience and business goals. We study who the users of the site are, what tasks they solve, what is the path from the first visit to the target action. Based on this, we formulate the requirements for the interface.
Structure and navigation. We design a site map: sections, subsections, connections between pages. We define the main menu, breadcrumbs, cross-references. Everything is based on the user’s logic, and not on the convenience of the content manager.
Wireframes - page frames. We create schematic layouts of key pages: home, catalog, product/service card, cart, forms. Wireframe shows the arrangement of blocks, hierarchy of information and interaction logic without design.
Interactive prototype. We create a clickable version in Figma or another tool where you can go through user scenarios: open the catalog, add to cart, fill out the form. Allows UX testing before design and development.
User scenarios (User Flow). We document all key user paths on the site. We identify potential dead ends, unnecessary steps and conversion barriers.
Terms of reference for design and development. Based on the results of prototyping, we formulate a technical specification that unambiguously describes the functionality of each element. Eliminates discrepancies between the customer and the development team.
Stages of work
Briefing and analysis - 1-2 days. We study the business, competitors, target audience. We determine the goals of the site and key use cases. Results: list of pages and functional requirements.
Site map - 1 day. We design the structure: all pages and their hierarchy. We agree with the customer before switching to wireframes.
Low-fidelity wireframes - 2-5 days. We create schematic wireframes of key pages. Focus on structure and logic, not on visual design. We iterate until agreement.
Interactive prototype - 3-7 days. We assemble a clickable prototype that covers basic user scenarios. We conduct a demo and collect feedback.
Testing and adjustments - 1-3 days. If necessary, we conduct user testing on a real audience. We make changes based on the results.
Transfer to development - 1 day. We draw up technical specifications, transfer the prototype and specification to the design and development team. We remain in touch to answer questions during the implementation process.
Pricing in England / International
Pricing for prototyping depends on the number of pages and complexity of functionality.
Landing Page or simple website. Up to 5 pages, one conversion funnel. Wireframes + final interactive prototype.
Corporate Website. Up to 20 pages, several sections and scenarios. Full site map, wireframes of all key templates, User Flow.
E-Commerce Store or complex web service. Catalog, product card, basket, personal account, registration and order forms. Full interactive prototype covering all user scenarios.

Who is prototyping suitable for?
Before developing a new website. Prototyping at the start saves 20-40% of the development budget by eliminating changes during the development process.
When planning a redesign. Before a visual redesign, you need to figure out what doesn't work in the current structure. A prototype helps test hypotheses before making changes.
For complex web applications. CRM, personal account, marketplace - functionally complex projects require detailed interface design before development begins.
When working with a distributed team. The prototype and technical specifications are a common language between the customer, designer and developer. Eliminates misunderstandings and requirements “lost in translation.”
Guarantees in England / International
Iterative negotiation. We show the prototype in stages: first the site map, then the wireframes, then the interactive. Edits are made at each stage until full understanding is achieved.
Testing logic before design. We find errors in UX at the prototype stage, and not after the site is launched. Fixing a wireframe takes 30 minutes; fixing a finished website takes days or weeks.
Technical specifications as a delivery and acceptance document. The final technical specification fixes the functionality of each element. The developer does exactly what is described - no more and no less.
Author's supervision during the development process. We remain available for consultation if the development team has any questions. The functionality is implemented exactly according to the prototype.
Why choose England / International
We work in Figma and transfer the sources. All files remain with the customer. Can be transferred to any development team.
We understand development. We design interfaces taking into account implementation limitations. We do not create “fantasy” prototypes that cannot be built within the budget.
Experience in e-commerce and B2B. We designed interfaces for online stores, corporate systems, marketplaces and SaaS products.
Focus on conversion. Each element of the prototype is evaluated in terms of its impact on the target action. A beautiful interface is a consequence, not a goal.
Tight deadlines without loss of quality. A typical corporate website prototype takes 7-14 days. We don’t drag out the process with endless iterations.
Questions & Answers
Is it possible to start development without a prototype?
Technically yes. In practice, there is a high risk of rework in the process. Statistically, projects without prototyping have budgets 30-50% higher than planned due to changes in requirements.
How is a prototype different from a mockup?
A mockup is a static image of a finished design. A prototype is an interactive diagram that shows the logic of how an interface works. A prototype is created before design, a mockup is created after.
How many edits are included in the price?
Standard - 2 rounds of edits for each stage (site map, wireframes, prototype). If there are more edits, we will discuss it further.
